TRUST EPC SOUTH PRESENTED AT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE ASSOCIATION OF BALKAN CHAMBERS

The Union of Hellenic Chambers (UHC), in collaboration with the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems Laboratory of the Technical University of Crete (ReSEL-TUC), presented Trust EPC South at the General Assembly of the Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC), which was held in Bucharest, Romania on the 17th of November 2016, with representation from Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYROM, Serbia, Turkey and Montenegro. The opportunities for coordination of policies in order to attract investments and enhance economic growth of the region, also synergies through the EUROCHAMBRES were discussed.
Trust EPC South aims to disseminate best practices and tools to the countries members of ABC, leveraging on the collaboration with UHC and the engagement of the Chambers members. Capacity building actions, led by ReSEL-TUC, will transfer the knowledge gained encouraging investments in energy efficiency projects through EPC and supporting the exploitation of the project results in the Balkan area. Developed methods, practical tools, training material and guides will become available to EPC providers, energy efficiency companies, financing institutions and companies/organisations of the tertiary sector through the Balkan Chambers in the member countries. The links created will contribute to the market uptake in Balkan countries.
