International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources & Energy Efficiency – May 2016, Cyprus

The 5th International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources & Energy Efficiency was held in Nicosia, on 5-6 May 2016, under the auspices of the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus, bringing together policy makers, key stakeholders of the energy efficiency and the renewable energy fields.
The Technical University of Crete-Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems Lab (TUC ReSEL) presented the key findings and lesson learnt from the survey on the Energy Efficiency and Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) market in Greece, opening a fruitful dialogue on how to build trust in Energy Performance Contracting during the 5th International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources & Energy Efficiency.
The survey, conducted in the frame of the Trust EPC South project, provides the EPC market insights by analysing official reports and interviewing stakeholders of the full value chain; EPC providers, beneficiaries (clients) and financial institutions. As part of the presentation, the EPC market potential, the perception and recommendations of the involved parts, the main roadblocks and potential solutions were discussed.
