First National Discussion Platform Meeting in Croatia
Publication date: 13 September 2016
The Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, national leader of Trust EPC activities in Croatia, held the first National Discussion Platform meeting at the beginning of September in Zagreb.
The purpose of this meeting was to bring together key stakeholders of the EPC market in Croatia and foster the dialogue and synergies amongst them. The participants included representatives from financing institutions, policy makers and EPC providers.
During this meeting a market report that contains an analysis of the current situation, the main barriers and the potential solutions, among others, was presented and discussed. To correctly evaluate barriers and solutions during this analysis, several interviews were performed in Croatia. According to these interviews, the main barriers highlighted in the Croatian market are: the lack of trust, both towards the business model and the EPC providers, the lack of knowledge of the business model, specifics in tertiary sector and financial institution stakeholders and the constant regulatory changes.
As expected, key stakeholders had diverse opinions when evaluating barriers and solutions. However, most specialists shared the opinion that the exhibition of best practices and the standardization of process and documentation could concretely foster market development.Subscribe to Trust EPC South bimonthly newsletter
